Development of Juvenile Teams
Saint Fintan’s G.A.A. Mountrath cater for all age groups from our nursery through to under 17 and beyond. The club’s dedication to youth development is evident through its range of initiatives, including the Easter Camp, Kellogg’s Cúl Camp, partnerships with local schools, and the annual Amy and Andrew Moore Hurling Tournament.
The Easter Camp, a highlight of the club’s calendar, has been a resounding success in nurturing young talent. Held during the school break, the camp offers children a chance to enhance their skills, learn new techniques, and develop a passion for Gaelic games in a fun and supportive environment. The Kellogg’s Cúl Camp aims to promote physical activity among children and provide them with a memorable summer experience.
Recognising the importance of education and sports, Saint Fintan’s Mountrath G.A.A. extends its support and facilities to local primary and secondary schools. By providing access to their training facilities and offering coaching sessions, the club creates a symbiotic relationship that benefits both the schools and young people.
The Amy and Andrew Moore Memorial Tournament is held annually, this tournament showcases the exceptional talent and skills of young hurlers, while also providing a platform for friendly competition and community bonding. Saint Fintan’s Mountrath G.A.A. club takes great pride in organising and hosting this tournament, with the aim of promoting hurling and instilling a love for the sport among our juvenile players.
The club will continue to demonstrate our dedication to nurturing young talent, promoting sportsmanship, and fostering community engagement.
